PLACE DE LA CONCORDE !

"Magnified throughout the Paris Games, the Place de la Concorde will regain its historic splendor!

By preserving its perspectives, its original symmetry, and its exceptional architectural heritage, the winning project combines the rich heritage and ecological adaptation of the Place de la Concorde. It combines humility, audacity, and ambition.

The planned exceptional heritage restoration is also accompanied by a return to nature. 2.8 hectares of green spaces with wide lawns will be created, and at least 131 trees will be planted. The old ditches will be restored and revegetated.

These transformations will reduce summer heat by nearly 8.5°C.

66% of the square will be given back to pedestrians, walkers, and all the admirers of this magnificent place.

The Seine will also regain its natural connection with the Place de la Concorde. A terrace will overlook the river, and A staircase leads to the quays.

In the wake of the Games, we continue to invent the future by preserving and enhancing our exceptional heritage. I am very proud of this.
